The Brief – Web Design & Build

The client brief was to refresh the look of the site and to improve how the site functioned as an online sales platform and deliver a re-worked site that would lead to increased product sales. 
 
I simplified the homepage ensuring the focus was on the key products: illustrated maps and ceramic products. I added in featured items to promote the product ranges and a gallery for newly uploaded products. 
 
I made the online store the focus of the site, adding in category and product searches, so products were both clearly presented and easily found in searches to make the customer buying process as simple and efficient as possible. The next stage was to improve the online purchase procedure and implement a customer review system.
 
Crucial to the develop and redesign of the site was to increase the SEO and online exposure, ensuring the site and the products are easily found online in relevant searches. I also set up a targeted Google Adwords campaign and Facebook re-marketing.
